Miniature: Macaroons and cakes

Macaroons, cake, creme brulee!
Mini desserts once more:) I should try different types of food, but I came back to dessert in the end. They have a charm cast in me. The colour, the design of the desserts are just really attractive.
I used the stickers for nail decoration for the lace around the cake. Originally I wanted to use a ribbon, but I did not have one so I used this alternative.
I have not tried many of the desserts I made in small scale, like the Charlotte cake. They look so pretty! I hope one day I could have a chance to taste all the food I came across while doing research for miniature.
 A huge chocolate fruit cup.
When this is put in a bowl I bought before, it transformed into fruit salad. I could not tell which one looks better so I guess I'll go with this one.
It took me 6 hours to make 2 miniature bowls of black and raspberries. I got a bit frustrated in the end but the result turn out looked great. I can see those little domes on the berries :D
The sundae cups were better then I thought. Ice cream swirls matched well with the colourful toppings :)
However, the chocolate cup was a bit too soft, I have to be extra careful when I lift them up. I have broke a few already x_x

Miniature: Bread again!

Used a kinda clay which has a special grainy texture
It looks pretty good when it is made into buns

Making burgers made me really hyper, love to see the colours layering each other.
Looks attractive to me
Although I'm not a big fan of tomatoes, but I think they look really adorable when they are placed with cabbages or other things green. Perhaps it's because of the contrast? I dunno

Can't exclude baguettes when it comes to bread :)
Hot toasted crispy baguettes <3
The colour in the photo looks weird. Perhaps I photographed them in a place too dark.
Still, I think it's slightly better then the one I took before. Hope my photography skills will continue getting better each time!

Craft: Beaded work

Found an old box of beads on my window sill. I decided to use them to make bookmarks and bracelets. It took longer for me to make them then I expected, but I enjoy the moment thinking which combination of beads will be the best.

Since green is my favourite colour and I’m reading LotR (which is also green), I decided to go with this colour to match the book.

A sudden thought of making a bookmark convertable into a bracelet, and this became the result

And a pink one just for fun

This is the one I love most among all. Always have been thinking about how to use the plastic beads I have. It doesn’t look good if the whole bracelet is made of the plastic ones, and so I mixed the glass one with them. I am pretty happy with the result!

Miniature: Dessert Party

I have made quite a few projects during summer which I’d like to share them with you : ) Please leave your thoughts and comments! They are much appreciated.

A few cakes I made, inspired from 2 cookbooks I borrowed from the library. Cutlery art is really a hard subject to me, but I’m glad that a learned a little bit more about it now.

I love to use cookbooks as references while creating, the way the food are garnished and photographed are so pretty and elegant. When the creativity strikes I’d start brainstorming how I’d like to make my minis with a style I feel comfortable with. I always don’t follow what I’ve sketched though and the results are always very different. But as long as they look all right I guess it’s okay :p

Miniature: Donut Dream

I love donuts! They look so pretty and varies with different decorations.
Each time I looked into the bakery display cupboards, there will be new surprises.
So now I tried to make some mini donuts and enjoyed my time :)
Ferrero Rocher inspired me to make some chocolates along with the donuts,
and the chocolates inspired me to add nuts onto the donuts (haha).
I wish I could have a donut for snack now
...Perhaps not a good idea to eat anything sweet before bed,
I cannot buy any donuts this time anyway.
Time to rest, good night!

Miniature: Bread, anyone?

Finally the end of the term, which means I can spend more time on miniatures!
I hope I can spend my holiday well ;)

Bought a new kind of clay for crafting bread recently and decided to give it a try. The texture is a bit grainy. I had a lot of fun making them J
The hot cross bun in front measures 0.8 cm long
Add a chuck of butter on the bread and it will be great to eat.
They are all in 1:12 scale
Assorted bread

The photos look a bit darker then real,
but I just can't find a way to brighten up the backgroud
Time for me to practice my photoing skills!
